The Company
Momentum Construction began as a merger of two successful and well establish building companies, DMC, Inc. and Zylka Construction, Inc.. Momentum Co-owners Drew Martin and Adam Zylka recognized the opportunity to improve their customer service and project quality by taking advantage of each others strengths. Momentum Contruction is unique compared to other building firms, with 30 years of combined experience of project management and carpentry.
Adam Zylka, CGR - Owner
Adam Zylka has taken a hands-on approach to the building of his business. Adam started working in the construction industry as a teenage laborer. That is where Adam fell in love with the business. Upon graduating from Dexter High School, he attended Michigan State University. While earning his Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Adam helped pay his way through school working on a rough framing crew. Upon graduating, Adam began his career working with a number of Michigan builders as a crew foreman, site superintendent and project manager. Adam then took all his education and hands-on experience and started Zylka Construction. Now, Adam is working hard as Co-owner of Momentum Construction; a family oriented company with a wealth of experience and dedication to excellence.
Drew Martin - Owner
As an eager teenager Drew was hired as a general laborer for a large framing contractor. Wanting more resoponsibility, Drew worked his way up through the company. By the time he was 20 years old, Drew was a crew foreman, managing up to 8 carpenters on a job. Drew and his crews worked on some of the largest residential developments in Southeastern Michigan. Success came from his attention to detail and unparralleled work ethic. As all his goals were met as a crew foreman, Drew started his own construction business, DMC, Inc.. Drew was now able to expand his skills with the flexibility and adaptability of his new company. DMC, Inc. worked on a countless number of residential and commercial projects. After 14 successful years in the building industry, Drew is excited for his new venture, Momentum Construction.
